The Chicks: From Underplay to Headline Run

TAKING THE LONG WAY: 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR

LMG Touring backed The Chicks across two connected 2026 runs. The first was an intimate underplay: lighting, rigging, and labor, with two touring lighting techs and a package built on a GrandMA3 Full console (GrandMA3 Lite backup), 12x GLP JDC Line 1000 and 16x Ayrton Rivale as the feature fixtures, and followspot control on 6x Robe iForte LTX kits with 3x Robe RoboSpot base stations. Every stop was a fly date with no tour bus, fewer than 16 shows across small casino and seat-market theaters, state fairs, and a run of support dates for Tim McGraw.

That underplay was the proving ground for the main event. In late September the same design, led throughout by Kyle Keegan of Voyage Productions, scaled up into The Chicks' theater headline tour, a bus run built for back-to-back dates with a five-person lighting crew. LMG's scope grew to video, LED, lighting, rigging, and labor, carrying a larger design onto theater-sized stages. Lighting control again centered on a GrandMA3 Full console with a GrandMA3 Light backup, with Robe BMFL WashBeam fixtures anchoring the plot in the theater rooms.
