BEHIND THE SCENES: THE DRIVER ERA’S DYNAMIC “OBSESSION” TOUR DESIGN

This spring, The Driver Era hit the road with a tour that pushed creative boundaries and set a new bar for seamless production. From theatrical storytelling and cinematic camera interactions to flexible rigging solutions, The Driver Era’s Obsession tour was a showcase of artistry, adaptability, and planning.
LMG Touring proudly partnered on this project, providing full-service audio, video, and lighting support, including early design collaboration, custom packaging, and adaptive rig solutions for venues ranging from intimate clubs to sprawling college arenas.

Because the venue sizes are all over the place, this design really adapted well to an A, B, and C rig… We could go from a 60×40 stage to a completely ground-supported setup without it being a huge undertaking.”

Through early coordination with Draper and the production team, LMG was able to anticipate and plan for rig variations before the tour even hit prep, allowing for smooth transitions across different market sizes.

KAROL LUCZKIEWICZ - ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, LMG TOURING

“The flexibility of the rig helped us maintain show integrity night after night… This was a true example of what happens when vendors are brought in early and allowed to collaborate with creatives.”

The show’s design featured a stunning asymmetrical Vanish wall, enabling layered visuals and immersive storytelling. LMG supplied high-impact gear like GLP JDC Line 1000s, X5 Bars, and Mac Ones. These fixtures delivered punchy looks and soft theatrical nuance, even earning praise from Erik.

AS ERIK PUTS IT,

“The Mac Ones are a godsend—affordable, beautiful, and incredibly versatile,” he said. “And the JDC Lines? We ran them at 5–10% brightness indoors and they still packed a punch.”

Between pre-visualization and venue logistics, this tour exemplifies the kind of creative and technical synergy LMG Touring brings to every project.
