On Train’s “AM Gold” Tour, LMG Touring enhanced the band’s upbeat, introspective, soulful qualities, creating a stunning multi-sensory experience through a full, all-in support package including lighting, LED, audio, video, and disguise media servers.

LMG Touring lit up the stage using over 500 moving lights including Robe BMFL WashBeams, Robe Robin Esprites, Robe LED Beam 150s, Robe RoboSpot BMFL Followspots, and more. Martin VDO Sceptrons were built into the custom art deco scenic stage pieces with a shiny, mirrored finish.

“The Sceptrons are the highlight in many ways. They achieve this neon, disco-flash feel that the band really wanted. The risers also intersect, creating multiple reflections of light that give the show even more texture and depth. Plus, almost 100% of the lighting is pre-hung. Even in the venues with limitations, we are still at 90% of the full show.”

To further enrich the “AM Gold” visual experience, LMG Touring provided a full video and LED package, including ROE 8mm CB8 blow-through tiles, which added another layer of dimension to the show design. The team also utilized Sony HDC4300 4K Cameras, Disguise VX4 Pro media servers, Brompton 4K processing as well as Ross Video switching.

With the goal of enhancing Train’s iconic sound, LMG Touring delivered a powerful audio support package. The line-up included L-Acoustics K1 & K2 to boost clear vocals and smooth sound through lightweight design and minimalist dimensions for easy rigging. The team utilized DiGiCo consoles for versatile sound mixing, an Avid S6L package for unmatched processing power and sound clarity, in addition to various Shure Wireless and Handheld Mics and more.

“I’m really impressed with my Avid S6L Console and L Acoustics K1 and K2 system. I think the two married quite well. No two ampitheatres are alike, so every show is completely different as far as how you hang your PA. That’s where your team kicks in, including my Systems Engineer Dana Daniel. They come up with interesting ways of fitting a PA of this scale into each of these unique spaces. It changes every day, and having a good team around me is what makes it all work.”

LMG Touring has been out on the road with Train for over 13 years and is proud to support the band’s latest tour that also features Jewel and Blues Traveler on select dates. The 35-stop tour kicked off June 8 in Mansfield, Massachusetts, and closed big on Aug. 6 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado
